Hyaluronan

Now familiar not only to veterinarians but also to horsemen and horsewomen throughout the world, hyaluronan is the biomacromolecule most directly responsible for joint health in the horse. It is the major component of synovial fluid and is responsible for the structural and metabolic integrity of articular cartilage.

While the general public is becoming better-acquainted with hyaluronan, much remains to be understood about how it works in the body. What is known thus far is that hyaluronan can function as a natural anti-inflammatory agent. Cogent Solutions Group is committed to determining the molecular basis of hyaluronan's anti-inflammatory activity and to this end is sponsoring multiple extramural investigations on the mechanism of action of CSG's proprietary hyaluronan formulation, the key ingredient in Hyaluronex.
